Spring is Here - get out and enjoy it!

Remembering the Fundamentals of a New Endurance Season

Hello my fellow trail and gravel fam!

After a long winter, it's finally time to hit the trails again! As an avid trail runner and gravel cyclist, I know firsthand how exciting it can be to get back out there and explore new paths and terrain. However, before you lace up those shoes and hop on your bike, it's important to remember a few safety tips.

First and foremost, make sure you have the proper gear and equipment. Dress appropriately for the weather and terrain, and always bring enough water and snacks to fuel your adventure. Consider bringing a map or GPS device, and let someone know where you'll be going and when you plan to return.

As the weather starts to warm up, it's also important to take precautions against the heat. Wear lightweight, breathable clothing, and don't forget to apply sunscreen and wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly, and take frequent breaks in the shade to avoid overheating. My drink of choice when out there is Gnarly Fuel 2O, in the tropical flavor.

Of course, trail running and gravel biking aren't just about safety – they're also a lot of fun! Don't forget to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature around you.

And speaking of fun, why not show off your love of trail running and gravel biking with one of our themed t-shirts? At Outdoor Endurance, we have a variety of designs that are perfect for showing off your passion for trail running and gravel cycling in the great outdoors. Check them out at www.outdoorendurance.etsy.com.

So, get out there and enjoy the trails!

Happy trails,

Ricky
